Lake Brownwood State Park

Just off the shoreline of Lake Brownwood, Lake Brownwood State Park showcases the natural beauty of central Texas. In fact, the 537 acres pack in three unique biodiverse areas, the Edwards Plateau, Western Cross Timbers, and miles of rolling plains. The Civilian Conservation Corps created the park in 1934 and was designed to blend in with the surrounding environment. Additionally, the original buildings, patios, and fire pits that were used by soldiers in World War II are still used today. The sweeping vistas provide guests with endless activities — here are just a few of them!
