Unlike many other lakes, Lake Murray permits the use of houseboats, and this marina is more than happy to accommodate their needs. Specially designed houseboat slips come with cables for television and electricity, and the lighted pathways and 24/7 surveillance ensure safety and security. For exceptionally large boats, the marina offers slips up to 100 feet in length.

Whether you’re looking for a community hub or just a place to store your ship, the various amenities have you covered. Stepping out to the marina, a fleet of ships and sails instantly greets guests. Liberty on the Lake is the marina’s premier restaurant and bar, making it the perfect place to grab a bite, whether going in or out. The premises is dog friendly as long as animal companions are leashed. The docks come equipped with fueling stations, and waste pump-out boats come to you. Two boat rental entities operate with Lake Murray Marina and rent out deck boats, pontoons, jet skis, and more! A ship store at the marina stocks all the supplies for your perfect day on the water.

A boat dealer, a boat repair shop, and a seafood restaurant are all down the road, just a short distance from the marina. The family-owned operation offers pontoon tours and boasts Lake Murray’s consistent year-round water levels. However, their wet slips steal the show, as the marina is so popular with locals that their slips usually have a waitlist! But if you want to enjoy the view, several shaded picnic spots dot their shore.

Jake’s Landing

Moving to the southeastern region, Jake’s Landing is the go-to marina at Lake Murray for Lexington and Oak Grove. This marina offers three distinct options for boat storage: dry, land, and wet slip. When selecting dry storage, Jake’s Landing will carefully lift your boat into a weather-protected storage facility, but they make retrieval easy. On weekends, call 20 minutes ahead to have your boat in the water, and punctuality is highly recommended. For weekdays, they request you call a least one hour in advance, but that punctuality is not an issue. Wet slips are ideal for locals who frequent the water often and prefer to hop on and ride off. Finally, land storage in an adjacent grassy field makes for an excellent cost-effective method. But before calling for storage needs, boaters should come prepared with information regarding their boat’s length, width, height, and storage duration.

When you’re ready to set sail, Jake’s Landing has boat launches for use that run from 5 am–8 pm, and five courtesy slips sit adjacent to the ramps. Parking is available nearby for cars, trucks, and trailers.

The marina’s store sells all the essentials for a fantastic lake day! Their store — a blue building with cream trim — offers various snacks, drinks, and boating supplies, such as locally-made sandwiches, boiled peanuts, drinks, ice, ropes, and life vests. But there are more than stomachs to fill, and after you’ve snagged your snacks, head to the docks and fill up your boat. Jake’s Landing marina provides non-ethanol gas pumps on both land and water. The pumps come with card readers for quick and easy access to get you on the water and fishing faster.
