For over three decades, Wally Cawthon has been an expert in real estate, specializing in waterfront properties in central Georgia. His vast experience and deep knowledge of Jackson Lake make him the go-to person for finding the perfect lake home for you and your family.

Undeniably, Jackson Lake is a pristine lake! It offers families a true “On Golden Pond” experience, with an array of water sports in a quieter, safer setting. Unlike other southern lakes, it’s free from alligators and big crowds. Wally lives and works on Jackson Lake. His waterfront real estate expertise ensures you won’t have any surprises after closing. With unique idiosyncrasies like shoreline and building codes, septic systems, and other items not common in regular property sales, you’ll want to choose someone who is a true expert.

Wally founded the volunteer Jackson Lake Homeowners Association in 1994 to bring neighbors together all over the lake. What began with a group of about 60 has blossomed to nearly 1,000 members now. It also features a quarterly newspaper, scholarship programs, and much more.

Wally and his buyer’s agent, Charles Sibley, have enjoyed Jackson Lake since childhood. Meanwhile, the two indulged in waterskiing, paddling the rivers, fishing, floating, swimming, and the latest craze, wake surfing. “Our deep personal knowledge of the lakefront marketplace in central Georgia offers our clients a wide range of options for lifestyle and price ranges,” Wally says.

If you’re looking for a lakefront vacation or investment property, look no further than central Georgia. It offers some of the best values in waterfront homes in the country. Additionally, it’s just a short drive from Atlanta. Certainly, every buyer is unique, and Wally’s personal experience can help you narrow your search for YOUR perfect lake getaway.

Jackson Lake, High Falls Lake, Lake Tobesofkee

Growing up on Jackson Lake, the lake has always been a part of Charles Sibley Jr.’s life. He spent his youth making plenty of memories on the lake, from learning how to ski and teaching his friends how as well, to taking dates out on the boat. Today, he enjoys the lake with his wife, son, and granddaughter. They like to go to restaurants on boats, teach his granddaughter the ways of the lake, and watch the 4th of July Fireworks from the boat.

Charles started his real estate career in 1985 when an agent explained the business to him while at his office park job. He then started taking real estate classes and got his license. He uses the lessons he learned from his dad on how to treat people. His dad taught him to treat others fairly and make sure they feel comfortable, appreciated, and welcome. Charles also learned how to treat people from his lifeguard superintendent, an early mentor. His superintendent always treated the staff well, praising the staff publicly and privately and putting them back on the right track with encouraging words, lessons Charles has kept with him.

Working with Lake Homes Realty, Charles helps Wally Cawthon on Jackson Lake, as well as being the agent on Lake Tobesofkee. Living in Atlanta for 20 years gave him expert knowledge in the area and allowed him to connect personally with his clients. As an agent, he loves being able to help educate people on the lake lifestyle and helping them find the perfect property for them, as well as meeting and interacting with new people.
