The Essentials

The lake has quite literally everything you could ask for. There are multiple stores in the area, along with lots of local restaurants. Not to mention, there is a good amount of resorts and country clubs in case you want to get a quick game of golf in or to want to kick back and relax. Further more there are several hospitals close to the lake within a 15-minute drive. Southern Airway Express and Memorial Field Airport are the two best airports in the city if flying in from out of town!

Arkansas is renowned for its many beautiful lakes, each of which has a unique character and flavor. Five lakes in southwest Arkansas collectively known as the Diamond Lakes are among the several significant lakes to be found here. Lake Hamilton is one of those five. One of the most well-liked lakes for recreation and residential purposes in the state is this 7,460-acre lake. It is on the southern outskirts of Hot Springs at a prime location. When the Arkansas Power & Light Co. (now Entergy) made Carpenter Dam on the Ouachita River to provide electricity in the 1930s. The completion of massive structure got completed by the military’s engineers. Currently, a large portion of the lake is by residences, apartments, hotels, and dining establishments. Scenic 7 Byway even spans the lake.

Fishing On The Hamilton 

At least one largemouth bass spotted bass, hybrid striped bass, trout, white crappie, white bass, bream, black crappie, blue catfish, yellow bass, and channel catfish is on every acre. There is a sizable crawfish population in Lake Hamilton. Jigs, jerk baits, and crankbaits in the crawfish style are all excellent options if you feel like switching it up a little. If you love any of those options, fishing in the fall and winter would be the best time to travel down to Lake Hamilton.
