A holiday getaway excites souls young and old, but planning can be stressful and time-consuming. So put down your pens and let those woes melt away, as Marble Falls has winter covered in a snow of festive events and attractions to beat that Texas heat.

Walkway of Lights:

The Walkway of Lights is back for its 32nd year here in Marble Falls! Heralding holiday tidings, this free event showcases more than 350 sculptures and 2 million lights. Walkway of Lights is a cherished community event held annually since 1990, taking visitors on a magical light-filled stroll along the banks of the Colorado River. While many will be enchanted by the lights reflecting off Lake Marble Falls, visitors may also see and visit jolly Santa and his band of elves.

On the shores of Lake Marble Falls, Lakeside Park hosts 43 days of twinkle and shimmer. The light show begins on Nov. 18, and visitors tour until Dec. 31.  The trail will be available from 6 p.m.–10 p.m.
Walkway of Lights is funded entirely by donations, and visitors will have the option to contribute toward another year of  Christmas lights. This pet-friendly event takes about 30 minutes to complete, and food stalls are available throughout the walk.

Winter Ice Skating Rink:

After wandering the Walkway of Lights, glide downtown to the Winter Ice Skating Rink. It’s a family-friendly festive activity for all ages—they do private parties too. If you want to try your luck on the ice, book your tickets in advance, as these icy escapades fill up quickly. You can purchase tickets in advance on Marble Falls’ city website. Tickets are $10 to pre-order; on event day, they are $12.

The Winter Ice Skating Rink will be open from Nov. 18 until Dec. 31 from 5p.m–10 p.m. and takes place downtown.

Christmas Market On Main:

All is merry on Main Street on Dec. 3, as over 50 vendors and shops ring in the holiday cheer with crafts from bakers, creators, boutiques, and more. The event features stalls of handmade goods backed by quaint storefronts lining Main Street. This is the perfect opportunity to sneak in last-minute holiday shopping. Vendors put the hospitable and charming culture of the Highlands and Burnet County on full display. Don’t miss out on Sculpture in the Square while you’re there, where live carvings of intricate ice sculptures take place, workshops are offered, and artisanal sculptures are showcased. This pet-friendly event extends from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
