Lake Saint Joseph is located in Newellton, Louisiana, right near the Louisiana-Mississippi border. Alexandria, Louisiana is around two hours away for an easy day trip.

Named after the indigenous Taensa people, Tensas Parish is the least populated county in Louisiana with less than 5,000 people.
