Lake Wylie is a beautiful lake on the border of North Carolina and South Carolina, where you can enjoy the pleasures of boating, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, canoeing, swimming or a beautiful sunset view. And, since the weather in the Carolinas is beautiful all year long, you can enjoy many of these activities in every season. To top it off, we have a great variety of waterfront real estate to meet every need!

Two communities that first come to mind when you mention Lake Wylie are Tega Cay and River Hills - both in South Carolina. These waterfront communities were started in the 1970's and boast excellent school systems along with strong reputations as safe communities in which to live.

TEGA CAY is a peninsula INTO Lake Wylie. Come play a round of golf on the 18 hole championship golf course or, if you are a tennis player, there are great tennis events provided by the tennis association. In addition to swimming in the lake at Windjammer Park with its sandy beach, there are two swimming pools at the country club. If walking and jogging are your passions, there are two pedestrian pathways.

RIVER HILLS is a gated community on Lake Wylie. Its 18 hole golf course is highly regarded, and seven clay and three winter surface tennis courts, along with full time pros, keep the avid tennis player busy. There are several pathways to stroll in the community, one of which leads to beautiful South Point Park - a waterfront park where lake swimming is available for citizens of the community. Two swimming pools are also available at the country club.

For people who prefer to live outside of a community, there are homes on the lake which range FROM large homes to small fishing cabins. Of course, since living on the water is so popular, sometimes it requires time and patience to find the perfect lakefront home.

There are also many beautiful communities within easy driving distance of the lake, and you can moor your boat at one of several marinas in either North Carolina or South Carolina.
